Second-half 2026 release slate still runs deeper than GTA 6
Beyond November's Rockstar launch, the back half of 2026 still includes Halo Campaign Evolved, Marvel's Wolverine, Gears of War: E-Day, Modern Warfare 4, and Phantom Blade Zero.
It is easy to treat GTA VI as the only 2026 date that matters. The actual second-half slate is denser. Halo: Campaign Evolved already launched July 28. Marvel's Wolverine hits September 15 on PS5. Gears of War: E-Day is set for October 6. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is widely listed for October 23 across current platforms including Switch 2. Phantom Blade Zero follows on October 29.
How to spend attention
If you care about shooters, October alone is a gauntlet. If you care about story action games, September and late October are packed before Rockstar resets the conversation in November.
Practical tip
Wishlist now, protect storage, and accept that finishing every launch-week title is a fantasy. Pick lanes by genre instead of trying to live inside every marketing cycle at once.
