Gamescom 2026 organizers published the first exhibitor wave on July 3, highlighting an expanded indie pavilion and a Microsoft booth with public play sessions. The August show remains the biggest consumer event in Europe, and early lists help fans plan appointments.

Indie pavilion

More booth space went to first-time studios from Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia, reflecting where publishing deals accelerated in 2025. Hands-on slots will require online reservations again.

Platform booths

Microsoft confirmed Game Pass demos on PC and console. Sony and Nintendo typically announce closer to show week, but hotel meeting rooms are already booked for preview events.

Travel tip

Book trains and hotels early if you attend in person. Cologne fills quickly during show week, and public transport passes sell out at peak hours.
